What is NetVPN, and How Does it Work?
NetVPN is an advanced VPN solution that integrates seamlessly into existing network infrastructures. Unlike traditional VPN clients that require installation on individual devices, NetVPN offers a centralized system. All users share a single VPN tunnel, allowing unrestricted access to specific resources, such as AI services, without the need for separate software or apps.

Why Do Organizations in Hong Kong Need NetVPN?
Many leading AI platforms, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Sora, Google’s Gemini and NotebookLM, and Claud are currently restricting access from Hong Kong. While traditional VPNs can bypass these restrictions, managing separate VPN accounts for individual users is often expensive and labor-intensive. NetVPN eliminates these inefficiencies by providing a streamlined, most cost-effective solution that supports multiple users through shared infrastructure.

What Are the Advantages of NetVPN?
- Consolidates VPN services into a single, shared solution, reducing subscription costs and administrative burdens.
- Allows instant access to AI tools for all users without requiring users to activate VPN software manually.
- Easy deployment and maintenance with only a hardware router at customer side.
- Supports VLAN configurations if needed, ensuring compatibility with complex network setups.
- Enables selective VPN usage, allowing only designated traffic (e.g., AI services) to pass through the VPN while keeping other network activities unaffected.
- NetVPN includes a redundancy server, router will shift to use backup server instantly if the primary server is offline.

Is NetVPN Secure?
NetVPN operates at OSI Layer 3, routing traffic based on destination IP addresses without inspecting or altering the content, only allow traffics go through VPN tunnel. Security is ensured through:
- Local Hardware: Globally certified routers installed within the local network to prevent breaches.
- Cloud Servers: Worldwide Trusted VPS providers deliver stable and secure bandwidth tailored to customer requirements.

Implementation
In most cases, the diagram below illustrates our standard practice. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
![](https://itshk.com.hk/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/image-8.png)
- The clients’ gateway is configured to route all traffic through the NetVPN router.
- The NetVPN router inspects the destination IP address, and if it matches a predefined list, the traffic is sent through the VPN tunnel to our cloud servers. Otherwise, it is routed back to the firewall.
- For environments where bandwidth is a concern, Link Aggregation can be implemented to enhance performance.
